Hello y'all. I'm marmonduke. I'm a guy who was misdiagnosed asd and i am still awaiting an examination from a doctor.
You might know me for my rant i had about being alone or single. During that time i was best friends with a girl for four years until i confessed to her and she blocked me. I didn't take it easy but i managed to overcome that hurt.
In terms of me finding out about myself being misdiagnosed. I went to a doctor who was specialized in diagnosing people with mental disorders and i was there for him to revoke an anxiety disorder that wasn't accurate. I spoke with him about my Aspergers and he told me the way i spoke it was unlikely i even had it as a kid despite the school diagnosing me at a young age.
As of right now, i am not diagnosed officially by a doctor but i will give my experiences and advice to help others with asd as i grew up around many when i was younger

I think it's enough to relate to people, it doesn't have to be "official". I don't have any confidence in psychiatry anyway. If you have the same problems as a bunch of other people, then in my opinion, you relate. And I was just reading that that gawky uncoordinated nature comes from being intensely focused, and that's me precisely. It's startling how much worse some other people have it, though, and the idea of talking to them and offering support is fascinating me.

I guess I am intensely focused too, then.
