Reduced alertness/focus when stressed

Hi all, curious to know if this is others experience. Last night was a pressure night at work and today, especially AM, really struggled to think clearly in any way! Felt like a fog in my mind, couldn’t focus on simple things, even put fuel in the car with the engine still running.

If so, how do you unwind and calm mind a bit? Tips welcome as stress isn’t going away any time soon.

That's what happens to everyone, regardless of being autistic or not.

I don't think there is much you can do except finding time to relax while you're not at work. In my case, I unwind reading or watching films, but I know this has the opposite effect on some people.
