do any of you have certain sound that relax you as soon as you hear them?

for me it is brown noise, as soon as i hear it i feel so relaxed. if i'm stressed i feel 90% better when i hear it, if i'm not it is just nice to listen too it and if i hear something similar to it like air conditioner noise or things of that nature i get very happy. does anyone feel the same way? even if its not a noise, something else that has that affect on you?

( i was not sure if this should go in this forum or the discussion forum, if its in the wrong one sorry)

Layla,
Pink noise probably relaxes me more than the others, but not really that much though. Some voices are relaxing to me as well. Probably what I told you that has the most positive effect on me is writing. No matter how bad I feel, it just seems to make me feel better as long as I don't write too dark or melancholy, as I tend to do with alot of my stuff lol. It's best to keep the subject matter about beautiful things like love even though I always have that preoccupation with writing about alienation or things that hold strange meanings in life :)

i wish i could write i read non-stop but i'm a horrible writer, i keep getting told that i should be good at it because i read a lot.

And I'm the opposite. Good writer, not so great reader. But I try really hard to get something out of reading. It's just difficult, you know. You may not think you are a very good writer but you come across as compelling to me. Whatever you are talking about, pieces of you come out and it shows that it's the person expressing it and not the subject that truly matters. I think you do the best you can and should give yourself more credit Layla ;P

I love the sound of rain pouring outside (as long as i'm not in it) it helps me sleep (like i have a problem anyway, its just so relaxing to know i'm nice, warm and dry inside when outside its cold and wet.

For some reason, I find rattling a bottle of pills or something similar to be a pleasing sound. I also really enjoy listening to raid (but not thunderstorms).
