Remembering the 80's

Though perhaps a little obscure to some, my favorite thing that came out of the 80's was the Vaselines:

Funny enough, they reunited for a new album a few years ago, and this was among the tracklist:

Loved the 80s! The music and dancing was great. I hung out at the Limelight in NYC-New Wave music, a cool spot in Passaic [the Loop Lounge?] and an after hours nighclub in NJ! Yes it was illegal...but the after hours nightclub was there!!!!!!!

80s music...gotta love it. And how people dressed especially haircuts! I started to get less shy in the 80s.

I suspect Mike Score from "Flock of Seagulls" would have been on the top (or bottom) of that "pyramid"....:D One of those "one-hit wonders"... :p

Ahhh nostalgia. I sure love the 80s a lot more now than I did when they were happening. :D

Cycles of life.

Hmm, MTV was launched in '81.
Here's a playlist with the whole first day.

There's a bunch of British Comedy:
The Young Ones
Blackadder

Great posts! At the time, I wanted to move on from the 80s as much as humanly possible, now I just wanna go right back. :D

How's about this one... I know it's technically the very tail end of the 70's (Aug 79) but I associate it with the 80s.

I've been reminiscing about the 90s a lot lately too. That's a whole other topic though.

80s fans should definitely watch this show if they're not already doing so (if you lived through that time, does it make you feel old to see historical dramas set during your lifetime?):

I was very amused that the last episode involved one of the kids breaking into a neighbor's house to play their Intellivision since my uncle had one of those when I was little:

I remember playing this game on it a lot:
