I liken such a question not necessarily word-for-word, but rather what seems to be another common behavior consideration for we on the spectrum.

That in the course of a real-time conversation with another, to suddenly get that cold shiver down our spine when we find ourselves pondering in our mind, "Did I just say the wrong thing?"

And when it can instantly upset us, and possibly derail whatever flow of conversation we had going with another person. One of those "Big Oops" for us. :oops:
 
This! Whenever my partner gets upset with me I now ask him if he is upset with me rather than assuming and taking it personally. I’ve found that most of the time he cannot explain WHY he is mad at me. I think most of the time it is him projecting his anger from other things. But I still do not fully understand it.
