His role as Captain Parmenter in the tv series "F Troop" always came to mind first. Interesting to read how Berry got a boost to his civilian entertainment career while being in the army. Where he served with a Sergeant named Leonard Nimoy, an experienced actor before and after his military service.

Yes, that was a big deal that Ken Berry could come in where Andy Griffith left off. No small feat.

I always remember that show for the theme song. The one played at the end of the show, which was always a queue for my mother to come upstairs and remind me it was bedtime. Guess that was a few years ago! :p
 
I first think of him in Mama's Family. Loved watching that show with my grandma, and any time I can find it on reruns I'll watch it. Seems everybody else I know can't stand the show.
