I really enjoyed the surreal humor of Pee-wee Herman. Pee-Wee's big adventure hooked me on his humor. And this was at a time when for shopping pleasure I enjoyed getting to Uncle Fun on Belmont in Chicago (look it up). After long week's of work (and when I couldn't sleep past 5 am.), on Saturdays, I would take a ride on my motorcycle and on the way back home pick up some fruit turnovers, get home, make coffee, wake up my spouse and have breakfast in bed watching Pee-wee's Playhouse. That reset my mood to the positive. [Plus, and even better, my spouse would be appreciative of a nice breakfast in bed and she would cuddle and perhaps desire to make love.]

He fell from grace when he was caught doing what people do all the time in porn theaters. It wasn’t like he was doing that in a Disney movie.

Pee Wee's Big Adventure was one of the greatest films ever produced by American Cinema. It is one of my top favorites of all time.

Besides that, I like how it presented Roadside America.

On my trips I enjoy visiting oddities like the Dickyville Grotto in Wisconsin, to Carhenge near Chadron, Nebraska, to Casa Bonita in Denver. BTW, covid closed Casa Bonita, but it is saved and reopened by the creators of South Park.

I found that profoundly sad. Damn! Every guy has known the impulse and we as a society are so puritanical that any expression of sexuality is reason to destroy somebody publicly. Whatever happened to discretion. We have become a society of judgemental voyers. There is some expressions of sexuality that I dislike, the abuse of girls and women, abusive infidelity, but enjoying an orgasm is not one of them.

Here. I am glad that we have such strange diversions of people's fevered imagination.

But, there are other things that are wonderful to see, like the Ashfall fossil beds, the Museum of the fur trade and, of course, our fabulous National Parks.

Loved Pee-wee's playhouse and the movies.. also liked him in minor roles in Matilda and Dunstan Checks In.

Pee-wee was a very talented individual. He showed a persona of a feminine prototype of a male, something that has always been what l like in a male. A guy comfortable with his feminine side. I met one guy in my twenties who was very feminine but seemly unaware of it. I met one more guy like this again in my twenties.

I enjoyed Mystery Men where he plays "the Spleen" a superhero who's power is flatulence. The most hilarious superhero movie you will see.

I never thought of it that way. I saw his care and acceptance of people and a delight in life. Not being macho in the 50s and 60s I was discounted by other guys. But now I am happy with who I am. Screw those guys, I have had a good life not being a stereotype.
