Greetings citizens of the Asperger tribe, how are you all? I'm good, fine and all that jazz. Brilliant! Got that out of the way!

Hello! I'm 24, English, I haven't been officially diagnosed, my psychiatrist is pretty sure I have some level of asperger's, so does my mother. I have the pleasure of seeing a fair bit of myself in the stereotype although a lot of the times reading about it I'm completely confused about whether or not I process certain aspects and I can't often put the full picture of myself together collectively and say one way or the other (is that normal?), but I think I probably am an aspie. I also suffer from depression (although you wouldn't think it from all this), anxiety and psychosis. I also have a tic, I call him Humphrey.

Yes! So that's me, I actually did a better job put that together than I could of ever hoped, go me.

I hope to see you all about and that I'm able to sprinkle some rainbow colours from my unicorn towards your general direction!

Welcome to AC. Not from the UK, but I'm still looking to find someone from Cornwall....and "Portwenn"...LOL. ;)

Hoping they don't lose another police constable! Or their doctor....

Welcome to the forums.

I also am waiting to be diagnosed and am pretty convinced I have Asperger. This forum is a great place to learn and receive help & tips on how to deal with particular situations.

Let us give you a huge and well friendly welcome and we all hope that you will find what you are looking for. Do not hesitate to ask questions related to Autism Spectrum or other things related to this.

Welcome to AC. Hope you enjoy it here. Our conversations are very applicable to us, so feel free to join in and just be you.

Welcome aboard! :)

Welcome Southern Discomfort to the aspie tribe, as you aptly put it. I'm in Canada, where the leaves are falling and people are harvesting pumpkins apparently. Although I've not seen any.

I wonder how many people can get that reference.

I really appreciate you introducing me to Dr. Ellingham. So love the show. :)

Recently I accessed "Port Issac" (the real Portwenn) online and the first image I got was his "surgery" in the middle of the picture.

Sometimes I wonder what it would be like to live in such a small community. Might be fun...except everyone seems to know everyone elses business!

Oh, I love Canada, always wanted to go there. Hockey is great too, much better than boring old football.

Hi, welcome to the forum :) I think it's normal not to have a complete picture of oneself, because not all aspies have all the symptoms and fit the diagnostic criteria perfectly.

Thanks! I've been writing down areas of where I'm affected so I have a better overall understanding which does help to remove some doubt, I guess when I have the official diagnosis it'll be easier to accept.

Hi
Welcome, I am also from England (Essex) and also self-diagnosed and reading the messages on here gives excellent info and first hand experiences that are really helpful.

Hi Southern Discomfort, welcome to AC. :) I'm the farthest away so far, I think (although Progster is actually from the dark side of the moon so she wins...). I'm in South Australia. It's spring here, the blossoms have ended and it's hayfever time.

I agree about having an incomplete picture... Because we're on a spectrum we are all going to manifest our symptoms differently.
