Samsung apparently is playing it all down, emphasizing that no customer data has been taken or compromised. But 190 gb's of source code data is another matter.
Owners of such products should probably be very concerned. That's a lot of people...
I'm still trying to wrap my head around the legal implications of any legitimate business that attempts to capitalize on stolen data, purporting it to have magically morphed into open-source data. Or could some courts or international treaties start handling such things just like receipt of stolen property? I have no idea...
The notion of "Robin Hood" as a fictional character played well in the 12th century, but probably not so well in modern times. Then again, if the real intent is an asymmetrical act of war, it would make much more sense. Where the intent is simply to devalue and destroy publicly-traded multinational corporations.
