Saying hello

Hello, I'm from the Uk. Was diagnosed with this a year ago. Confusing but haa also been a postive thing as I don't hate myself so much and can understand why such a misfit and victim at school. I struggled with eating disorder for a long time and still have problems that way.
I'm a keen amateur choral singer, love my oriental cat and make cards and jewellery.

Welcome to the restaurant at the end of the internet. We have a special eating disorder section which is super non-judgemental.

We do?
Where?

I don't doubt it---I just don't know the location.

It 'must be true.'
No one has ever made a point of scorning what I
eat for breakfast.

PS This post wasn't meant to be inappropriately
light hearted or tactless. I got very tired last month
visiting relatives who insisted that I never eat.

I'd also like to know where the eating disorder section is. I'm struggling with mine as well, and it would be nice to talk about it some.

Welcome, Mustardseed! (Is your name in reference to the bible quote?)

I can't remember a specific thread, though I know they exist. Most likely to be found (or created) in our "Serious Discussion" section... We welcome any and all subjects that might be of help to our aspie family.

I wanted to say that we better have one if we want this place to be welcoming to everyone. But maybe I'm the wrong person to say stuff like that, since I don't have an eating disorder. I should probably apologize.

Welcome aboard :)

Hey, I'm overwhelmed with all these lovely replies! My name on here is actually after one of the Faeries in A Midsummer Night's Dream..I think eating disorders are quite common in people with Aspergers. I know lots of people with both anyway. I'm doing a lot better than I used to with it but have lots of body issues still. Definitely I've got more of a life these days though, which is all good x

Welcome! I'm in recovery from an eating disorder, and it can be hard. (Understatement of the year). I'm glad you're doing better.

Welcome mustardseed, I'm from UK too. I got diagnosed 14 months ago now and I too have been confused, shocked but it also helped me understand my past and my present, very similar to how you have felt. I wish you all the best on the eating disorder battle.
