I just want to know one thing!
They say laughter is the best medicine or comedy is food for the soul or tragedy is comedy with a mask on. They say a lot of things don?t they?
No, that?s not what I wanted to know.

Here?s the question;
Today, depending on your time zone, did you or will you, help someone find a smile, make someone giggle, leave someone in laughter or even double a person over with mirth?

I know, I know, we all have a social phobia but, you really don?t even have to interact with someone physically or verbally, just do something fun or silly, children are a great example of this, do something just for the sake of being spontaneous and just to show your pleasure at being able to draw breath. Tip your hat to a lamppost (clich?? Old school? So what), do that thing where someone steps to one side to avoid collision and you do the same then you both step the other way as well or simply nod your head at some old person as they?re walking along thinking that people today aren?t very sociable, just make sure they are on the other side of the road otherwise you might get roped into a convo yeah; ]

This is probably going to be the hard part because then, I want you to come back here and tell us all about it...

Look, even if you just go into the kitchen and tell the first person you see, I dunno maybe Mum, your flatmate, Dad, Uncle Eustace, Gran, a nephew, the milkman? Just say; ?You know what? You?ve got a great smile!?

Hey, just between you and me, you can make up something up to tell us if you like, if you?re clever, we won?t even know!
However, if you think about it, that might make us smile or laugh and your jobs done then! Isn?t it? Until tomorrow at least ; ]

I do make people laugh, giggle or smile frequently... and not really in a "I want to make you smile" kinda way... it happens inadvertently, but not because it was something "weird" I said. I do aim for comedic value, that's mostly just the way I talk to people and pull up references here and there.

My girlfriend even told me "some day, I'll die laughing from hanging around with you"...

I don't really think it's that hard for me to make people smile or laugh in general, I do think it's hard for some people to catch their attention, because for instance the people I live with... my parents, are way to ignorant to even listen to what someone says. It feels as if they don't register what people tell them, thus making them even listen feels forced, let alone smile, lol

I know what you mean. It is possible for me to get on a roll. Having a wide range of in-depth knowledge to pool from is also helpful. I tend to get a reputation for being a smart-arse. Quick on the draw too.

Today, I made several of my co-workers and family members laugh with my new terminology- Grubby Nubbers. I'm not going to share what it means as it is pretty crude, but it did leave lasting smiles.

Alpaca, you made ME laugh today. I love your avatar!

I love to make people laugh, and think rather highly of people who find me funny. Obviously they are intelligent because they get my jokes! I make my therapist laught all the time (and did today). There is something about articulating the issues I encounter that just make the situations seem ridiculous. I laugh at myself all the time, so I must be pretty darned intelligent. :lol2:

Today I helped this one lady at work today who wasn't feeling well. I got her to sit down, a bottle of water and found a ride to take her home because she was in no shape to drive. I felt pretty good about that.
