seriously had enough of all the wp ****

seriously in 90% of the stuff on here there is atleast a referance to wp ********, i know you all might feel differenlt about it but seriously you are on the internet, do something usefull instead of just taking little stabs at a ****ing website, get over it, if its ****- dont go there instead of complaining about it all the bloody time, its very simple

i joined here, the first forum ive ever used, to try and be part of something where i was hoping i would kind of fit in, unlike in real life where i have never fitted in, but since pretty much all the members here have been members of wp and always have something to say about it, i clearly dont fit in here either

now yes this is a very short rant but meh, **** it i have tryed to keep the explicts down

I don't see much WP talk but maybe I haven't been paying that much attention.

I took a look at WP a few months back, when I was first trying to get some basic info. A quick look at a couple of threads there told me that it wasn't the place for me.

There are a few members who throw in the occasional reference to WP. I don't care about WP, so I ignore those references. Once I work out that a whole thread is about WP I simply don't visit that thread again.

I know what you mean though, for an Aspie sometimes when something starts to get on your nerves it becomes impossible to ignore it. There is no easy solution there.

Actually if you think about it, there actually is a few out there... I should merge a couple of them into one, I'm still making a fair decisions to either lock some of the threads or merge them and put them in a another part of the thread? Hmmm...

When Chris did that, it was confusing because all the threads were not in order. They were all out of place so not all of it made sense. So one post you saw was from another thread and another post below that post was from another thread. I think there should be a section for WP talk. All the WP talk, post there.

I actually like that idea, I could suggest that to Chris & Willow, I ask him if he comes online tomorrow, but I cannot guarantee you that it would be possible.
Because this, I'm definitely pretty unsure about.

I strongly disagree with that idea in it's exact mention. However, I could get down with a forum that concerns websites of no specific title where they are the main topic. I would suggest heavy moderating though so that there isn't a number of different threads doing the same thing.
btw, would it be possible to include a single subforum under two main forums? This would be great for a humour subforum.

Okay, the sub-forum previous suggestion was supposed to be a joke, but now there's so much spam surrounding the subject people are taking it seriously?
Can we not just have a ban on the subject?
9/10 times it's just to ***** about WP members and it doesn't really make the WP member look bad, just the person who would do that :/.
IDK why you guys even keep going back to WP when you've already been banned. It's been established it's **** yet people keep going back so establishing it's shitier isn't going to do anything productive unless you just want to irritate other Aspergic memebers.
If any WP members do happen to join here as well(which has proven a possibility and it's only a matter of time until someone advertised the site on WP) there's potential for several members to get extremely offended/upset over what's effectively propaganda(basically all the WP bitching is one-sided or based on unverified ****).
Meh. I just think it's all very immature to be taking stabs at members like it's the school playground. I made this clear a while back with the stupid name calling thread(honestly?).

Emor makes a good point. Even if we do quarantine all of the WP discussion into a single forum, that still won't stop people from that forum who may join this forum being offended by what has been said about them (or others) in their absence.

That being said it is very difficult for a lot of people to leave their "baggage" at the door when they join a new forum.

NFI what to do about it. Like I said, it means nothing to me and as soon as I see that a thread or a comment refers to WP I skip it and move on to something I actually might care about. But since it is proving to be such a distraction for some members, I'd support any effort to put a lid on it.

People like to vent and make fun of people who piss them off. I think making fun of people is a way to blow off some steam to feel better.

Maybe the mods should add the ignore thread option if it's possible? That way those threads won't show up when you are signed in and to unignore a thread you have go to your account and remove it.

I think when people see mean things said about them, it is their chance to change if they didn't like it and they can just defend themselves if our thoughts were wrong. That's how I see it. I never understand why people don't defend themselves so I figure what people are saying about them must be correct. What can they say if they're right?

I do not have the privilege to create subforums I'm afraid, although I really love that idea a lot of having a humour subforum.

Members, I'm deciding to lock WP related threads as its getting to the point where it becomes unnecessary and quite upsetting to some members here...

The only way you can have a discusssion about it if you write each other a PM (yes and myself) about it for the ones involved.

leave my thread alone, im not singaling out any members or badmouthing another website, im simply saying im sick of it happening

btw 100% agree with emor

It doesn't make the person a better person. It just wrecks their self-esteem. Do you honestly think anything productive comes out of insults?
It just leads to social anxiety and enough of us have it in the real world and the internet is the only place we can be comfortable and confident in. Don't take someone's only means away of communicating 'cause it makes you feel better.
And since when did Tim_Tex piss anyone here off? Personally?
And how can they defend themselves when they don't know it's happening?
This isn't a personal attack at you but just the general behaviour several people here practice of bashing WP and its members.
EMZ=]

Right, I have unlocked the Tim_Tex thread, I only locked it temporary for moderation.

Mike, the only thing I will suggest at the moment is just don't read it or open it since the Tim_Tex seems well fairly okay.
Play safe. :D

(Damn, I'm starting to sound a little like a teacher, ouch... )

But it's basically a WP thread.
I know what your saying, I had to think about it before I let the post go with the flow, now I'm letting the place go with the flow.
This should feel much better guys. :D

For those who don't like WP threads, just simply ignore them. :P

There's literally only one person here who wants them unlocked as opposed to three who don't.
TBH, it's flaming in the end of the day.
Why are we allowed to dedicate an entire thread to bitching about someone we don't even know anything about from another site?

I asked Chris what I should do with it because I was unsure, he thought I was best to just keep it going for a while.
Quote: "I'd let it roll, unless it descends into a bash-fest, lol."

So the best thing I can do now is just leave it for a while, if it does get to the bash-fest or when it goes out of hand, that's when I get to action and then to lock the thread.
