Shot, burned and survived....

Sometimes l think l have been to the deepest end of everything out there, yet l get up and smile, and get thru my day. Do others suffer thru and just keep going on?

I'm assuming that the title is literal? I'm so sorry that you have had such horrible experiences but I am also glad that you survived.

Yes, thru many things but I don't think any one thing specifically as traumatic. But I came to the same conclusion that choosing whatever happiness you can find over despair is the best way to go on.

I haven't been shot. I have been burned, struck by lightning, and nearly drowned.
But yeah, I suffer thru and just keep going on. My wife died too. I've also been robbed. I suspect a number of us have similar yucky things we've survived.

Those sound pretty bad too😳🥺.
Did you know you were being struck by lightning as it happened or were you informed after waking up in a hospital or something?

As us on the spectrum, we dredge through the painful without complaining, but many of us have equally horrible stories to tell.

If you mean literally, It's difficult to think of you being hurt so badly. ❤️

I can relate to being in the type of physical danger where the people 'closest' to me hurt me, also to the pain, the fear and the psychological impact of living this way without escape.

I like being around people with similar experiences. I know that here there are plenty of unsaid or rarely spoken about personal experiences that make the day to day struggles seem managable.
