Small Font People

Yeshuasdaughter

You know, that one lady we met that one time.

What is going on with all the people recently typing with that little teensy tiny font that sort of looks like "times new roman"? It's about the size of a dust mite.

I can't read it at all. They might as well have drawn a straight line rather than typed anything.

Isn't it against the rules to use different fonts or colors?

I don't mind if for humor someone types out a sentence or two in really small letters (I do it sometimes), but a whole post????

Es demasiado poqito!

That'd be me. It's my gimmick. It's like , just for those, who are paying attention. If it was against the rules, the function would be disabled.

I look at it, like whispering..in a written form. I like to be difficult.

Okay...thanks. I'm not difficult all the time. Sometimes, I'm very well mannered, and conforming. I didn't set out to break any rules. Maybe bend them a little.

I totally didn't mean to single you out, you weren't the only one. And I didn't mean to snitch. I just maybe need reading glasses.

No, I can understand how it could be annoying. I just never took that into consideration.

¡Es muy poco! las tres palabras, todo hombre tiene miedo de oír hablar a una mujer. lol

Ok, it's just very small, it's straining to read.

There have been some members who struggled to read size four font
and maximized their screens in order to be able to see the words clearly.

Also, fading the shade of the letters to a light gray can be very hard
for people to see.

That's an "unwritten rule" for website designers. Or at least it was some years ago when I was in the biz. Totally understandable from their perspective. Though these days I only seriously care about my perspective when it comes to colors and font sizes.

The reality being most major browsers like Chrome don't allow you to do as such. But Firefox does. A chief reason why I prefer to use Firefox to view this particular website. Though while I can change the colors and the fonts, I can't change the sizes proportionately speaking. That the smallest fonts are too small relative to the largest ones...IMO of course. Though I see them all in a Linux Ubuntu font instead of what the forums's style sheets dictate.

Small font people title had me scratching my head. Are they friends with the small people under the stairs, or descendent from the borrowers who also are small? Like is this a limerick group that roam like gypsies? My imagination is a curse. :)

Maybe they live in Nitro's rebuilt cars?

*senses opportunity for mischief using small text*

I use that trick when I want to say something impish sotto voce at the end of a paragraph... :tonguewink:

Picked it up from a friend who was doing that seven years ago. The small-print stuff was the Easter egg, and only the dedicated people would read it. You can hit Control+ by the way to zoom it as much as you want. If you're using a proper keyboard, which I am. I don't do postage stamp sized technology...:innocent:

Those young people today...

Didn't singer Don Ho have a hit called "tiny fonts" ?

Ok, well he should have! :p

Then again maybe I'm thinking of Randy Newman.
