Snuffling

Does it bother you to hear someone constantly snuffling around you? I went to a meeting last night and this girl was going snuff, snuff, snuff. It was making me sick. Because all I could think about was the snot going down her throat (sorry, gross). When I was a kid and I did that my dad would yell at me to quit snuffling and go blow my nose for God's sake.

Do these people realize how nauseating/annoying they sound or don't they care?

Yes, I find it nauseating and gross and incredibly annoying. I've worked with people who do it constantly, day after day week after week month after month. Then they are constantly scraping their throat, coughing, grunting or whatever because their throat is full of snot.

I know a guy I went to school with, he is kind of a friend except I don't like him. He is constantly doing this, and wiping his nose with the palm of his hand... inspecting his hand... maybe wiping his hand on his pants. Then he wonders why I refuse to shake his hand.

I sometimes mistake it for someone feeling uncomfortable around me when they are snuffing but I have to look at it tihs way if that was me and I actually tend to snuff alot in the winter.
