Hey everyone. I'm a 28 year old male living in Upstate NY. I just got diagnosed w/ Aspergers this week after being refereed to a specialist from my therapist I'm seeing for depression and social anxiety.

Just reading some experiences other "aspies" have shared online has been a real eye opener. I've been a loner my whole life and I've felt like giving up hope of ever finding people that I could relate too. I'm so glad that I was wrong about that. Don't know what else to say than thanks for everyone else whose shared.

Glad you found out you're on the spectrum. Must have brought you a lot of solace, eh?

I didn't think it'd make a difference weither I got diagnosed with Aspergers or not but I felt like a ad a eureka moment. I've always felt like I was on the outside looking it wherever of whoever I was with.

Yeeeerrrp. That's what it was like for me. I thought something was a little 'crooked' in me. Not broken, or off, just crooked. Like I was all alone with myself.
After I found out so much about Aspergers, I was like, "That's me!!!" it was like a dimmed light was coming on and on and I was enlightened.
I still feel alone alot, but I feel better knowing that I'm alone, with other people like me in the same aloneness of themselves. Which means, I'm not alone :)
