I had an Uber Eats order that was intended to go to my office. Instead, I sent them to my house. The driver was being super smug about how he was just going to leave the food on my doorstep to rot for several hours until I got home. Uber issued a refund and cancelled the order, but I won't get the refund until a couple of days from now, while in the meanwhile, there is not enough money on my prepaid card to order properly.

That's frustrating! 😕 I've had similar things happen. Once I ordered a chemical to clean some alloy metal (a weak acid) and when I paid with PayPal it didn't ask for my shipping details and since I had just moved house it helpfully shipped automatically to my old address. The company/seller didn't try to help. I had to drive for an hour to knock at the door of my old house.

It turned out that the new occupants had gratefully accepted a package not even addressed to them, opened it and then promptly freaked out when they discovered acid inside. They then took it to the post office (apparently) when it had been shipped by a courier. They didn't even apologize for opening my mail. I guess they were hoping for an iPhone or something.

I'm still mildly frustrated that I lost £20. 😾

I am never ordering from Uber Eats ever again. The driver ripped me off $60 worth of food because he was too lazy to change his course, and Uber charged me for the food anyway and just gave me a receipt for his massive lunch where he stuffed his fat lazy face with my and my coworker’s food.

I hope he ends up in prison.

I hope Uber goes out of business for supporting lazy and smug slugs like him.

I hate throwing money away over things like this. I hate it because I basically threw money away on this transaction. I can’t afford to throw money away on a service full of assholes like this driver, who acted all high and mighty and smug when he talked to me. Any respectable business would can his smug ass.
