Social media break...

After talking to a couple of friends today came to the conclusion that it would do me some good to take a break from my Instagram...

As I've been dealing with some stuff the last few weeks, putting pressure on myself, I just need to stop feeling the need to "perform", to pressure myself to always get a good result, I'm still slightly afraid of becoming forgotten if I disappear for too long but I know I shouldn't worry about that (I think)

I will still go out and photograph, I even think I owe myself a road trip onto the prairies next weekend, even if just for one day, no matter what the cost of gas is!

My parting Instagram photo for now, for perhaps a couple of weeks, taken today during a walk...

That's a great photo!

The one thing I will miss with sky-hi gas prices is the Great American Road Trip. Some of my best memories are on long solo cross-country drives. It is how I came to California - three times. All forms of travel are getting expensive.

Unfortunately another day of photographic futility, at least got a good walk in, but 90 photos and nothing good out of the bunch... It wasn't the drive the country drive I wanted due to some winter conditions that came in yesterday... It's a darn good thing I'm not planning to post anything, but I'm frustrated by my lack of results and I feel like I'm off my "game" o_O

I don't know why I'm obsessing over something that is so unimportant
