socially incompetent gravitationally emotional executively dysfunctional NT or aspie

Jimmy The Neurotypical
When I first started my fixation on high functioning autism and the spectrum itself, I merely wondered if I simply shared some of the social challenges or if there could be more similarities. This article was what first ignited the interest.

Then I bought Attwood's complete guide and found every chapter to be far too relevant to ignore it. I've got everything from bad handwriting, anger attacks, & nonexistent feelings-sense, to a history of picky eating, idiosyncratic impulsivity, not wanting to be touched/hugged, or give affection, and distinct motor tics.

When I first started researching I picked a clinic in my area and got scheduled under the premise of determining whether my diagnosis can or should be updated (from ADHD, a diagnosis I was given most likely in 1989 when I was 5-6) . I've since found two other doctors I could try that were specifically listed by the local university for spectrum evaluations. Because they were over a month out in scheduling, my appointment is next monday. So I'm still trying to figure out if I should still go to this "random" one and see what happens, or just cancel it and try to get scheduled with one of the docs recommend for evaluation by the university

might as well see what they say so long as you're not forking out a ton of money on a diagnosis.
What was the link for the article btw?

I like it! I have such a huge problem with this at grocery stores. It sounds like a mix of social phobia/ general anxiety disorder & asperger's to me.

Re: socially incompetent gravitationally emotional executively dysfunctional NT or as

With me, I would be the one standing in the isles 'oblivious' to any one around me untill they either tapped on my shoulder,or said something. My difficulty is not so much in saying things such as 'excuse me,or thank you, my difficulty lies in talking of things that are not relevent to who I am [coifing ones hair/spending money on manicures] . I try to explain that I see no relivence in such things, and do not understand why another person would wish for me to do these things..
