Solitude is grand

I can go days without conversing with another person. I feel very structured and comfortable in my choice of the solitary lifestyle. I don't have a cell phone per se. I. Don't have a Facebook or Twitter. Account. My best friend is my. Imagination. In fact when I do converse with others it's usually in a service oriented environment, a store, dentist office, etc. I am the last surviving member of a nuclear family. My. Brother an both parents are deceased. Father 1949, brother 1995 and mother 1998.
I choose. NOT to have any "friends", and have never regretted making that conscious choice. I exists solely in my own environment, my house (past 36 years) drive a newly purchased. Sub compact car purchased in 2011 and has 1,999 miles on the odometer. I only venture out on average once a week for needed supplies, food stuff. I don't eat out and enjoy my own company. I live for my Apple products, iMac iPod Touch and iPad 3. And spend a good portion of my time either on the www, collecting "free" apps, have at least 3,000 in the past. 4 years, mostly Art and photography apps, and a Few games, word games, puzzles and solitary games, no on line player games for me. I also enjoy reading and have a BFA degree in fine arts, drawing and graphic design. There are never enough hours in the day. To accomplish all that I'd like to, but I don't fret over it. I do lead a regimented lifestyle, centering around my home and Apple devices. I'm in my early 70's and without sounding glumly accept my mortality, and have. No fear of dying.

Welcome to AC! I must admit, your lifestyle is one I am headed towards with a unswerving inevitability!!

Nothing wrong with your path of existence, and I hope you enjoy interacting with people in this forum. Or not, as is your choice! :)

My circle of friends is so small it's more of a semi-circle...
