Solitude over Isolation

Solitude is awesome. Isolation leads to loneliness. For me, anyway.

So solitude is the name of the game today, but loneliness is not allowed.

I’m going on a mini road trip - got sparked to take an adventure and I have the opportunity to do so. Of course, it will be just me and Rocky on the adventure, but is there anyone out there willing to give me some fun photograph suggestions that I could try to capture and share here later?

If you are willing, make a suggestion and I will try to capture it in a photograph on my adventure today. Thus, I will be adventuring in solitude, but not loneliness.

And also, thanks for being good pals.

I love tees. Especially bare branches against the sky. And kindly dragons who navigate.

Also, I love this thread idea. I'm basically in the same mood, though my solution is different today. I had a very frustrating week masking and a nice breakthrough last night, kicking all that stress away. So I kind of felt hyper and couldn't sleep and just indulged in my interests. I decided it's one of those Saturdays that I don't change or shower or leave the house. I just live in my enjoyable isolation, and I can get out tomorrow. I've been in a rage for classical music, so it's a good time to focus on long-form musical expression.

I was going to start a thread called Good Brain Day, about our successes with dropping the mask. But, this thread kind of covers that. (Of course, we can drop the mask with others, too, not just in isolation.)

I try for odd framings or pics that tell a story of my wanderings. Here is one at Mt Rushmore. Right now I am planning a trip down Skyline drive and the Blue Ridge Parkway from Front Royal VA to Cherokee NC in my little MR2 stopping at places to hike or like the Blue Ridge Music Center to listen to local music.

Wherever I come across bodies of water I try to stop to take a closer look and go for a walk, perhaps take a photo, probably take a photo...

Hi all, thanks for your suggestions! It was very nice to have you in mind while I was adventuring. It was a small one, but very fun, nevertheless! The sky was completely white with cloud cover, and the temps were 10 to 12°F with some wind, so I wore out quickly and find myself back home, very satisfied, with a cup of tea.
