Start work as a security guard on Monday, 11/5

Imperfectly Perfect
I landed a half-way decent unarmed security guard position with G4S today. I start training on Monday so I can get licensed. My home state of Delaware has licensing requirements for both armed and unarmed security. I think it is a total of 4 days which also includes getting Adult First Aid, CPR, and AED certified. On the 5th day, I take the state licensing test and can get started. I got assigned a site at a corporate aviation airport which promises to be pretty interesting because we are charged with patrolling all parts of the airport, including the taxiways and runways. This should be kind of fun and the pay ain't too bad at 14.50 per hour on the 3-11 shift. It is going to start out part time but will go to full time by the end of November.

The 3-11 shift is preferable because you only have to deal with the suits for maybe 25% of the shift. When they go home it's blessed peace and quiet.
