I read of a system imaging progame macrium, has anyone had any experience with system imaging programes.

Does it just cover the normal programes on the computer and you operating software.

I thought I had a system image disc when I was using windows 7, when I went to try them this week end it would not reconise them.

this might be usefull for discussing system imaging

Can't comment on Macrium, as I've never used anything but internal system restore functions or the original installation disk relative to the operating system.

Check this website out, Warwick. It's not Macrium, but it looks like they offer a download of a Windows 7 recovery disk for people like yourself who don't have the original installation disk from Microsoft. Of course I have no idea what they want for it or how legitimate it may be.

If it works though, you might be able to use it to apply native Windows 7 system restore/imaging/backup functions to get your computer running again. Just a thought.

I tried to create a system image using the windows 7 program, how ever it came back saying I did not have enough capacity on an external
hard drive (600 Gb on it).
In the end I Loaded onto the computer a Free version Paragon Back up and restore and create a boot up disc. So now I have a system image
as well, I should save time reloading every thing again.

Warwick.
