Take Mom's Word For It

Should I trust the things my mom says? Especially if it's to keep me from worrying?

Every year, if I see stories about the Doomsday Clock, I freak. The first time I saw it, Mom told me NOBODY takes it seriously anymore.

Hard to really say. I don't know the woman and I don't really know what she's not telling you.

If you're worrying about the doomsday clock thing then I'm guessing you're quite the worrier so it probably would be best to trust your mum with things like that. I think it's it's personal things like worries about a family member's health or situation then you can dive a little deeper in if you're feeling up to it. But if it's things like, I don't know, Donald Trump's political shenanigans then listen to her. As those sort of things aren't going to help you, you can't do anything about them really so there's no a lot of point around knowing them.
