The end of the world!!!!

The world's coming to an end I don't even care.
As long as I can have my Limo and my orange hair!

It's the end of the world as we know it... and I feel fine!

I love this song and enjoy it every time I hear it. A few weeks ago, I decided to memorize the lyrics.

I have probably listened to this song over a hundred times in the last two weeks. Currently, I can sing along with the first two minutes. I've got one more 5-line verse to memorize (the part that starts with "The other night I drifted").

I am going to be done within a week. After that...what? I did this for one reason only - because it's fun.

Also, the irony of me singing "it's the end of the world as we know it" while Covid-19 is shutting everything down is not lost on me.

@Nitro Bruce Springsteen? Are you purposely trying to make me throw up?
Yeah, because obviously you listening to it signifies the end of your world.
Did you ever happen to look at the lyrics?

It tells a story about how a single event could change an entire set of dreams.

@Nitro I didn't listen to it but I can look up the lyrics without hearing him "sing."
It is your personal choice to not like to listen to Springsteen, however, it is a ballad about a couple's end of their world as they knew it.

It's all about perception and how it is dealt with.
In my honest opinion, that in itself is fitting in an End of the world thread.

Springsteen writes about the realities of many lives. Recall reading that after 911, someone saw him and said "We need you." He decided to go on tour after that, across the US.
