The Mad Taoist
OK, the secret is out!

I am actually a-spie from an alternate reality, oh yes.

Our scientists have discovered a virgin version of Earth just one step from you. There are currently no humans there although three other small bands of sentient aliens occupy three of the four continents. They are all peaceful and have a symbiotic relationship to that world.

My task was to find a group of humans willing to make the journey to a new world. I think I have found the group most suited - you.

There are three main points to consider -
1 - You will be trained, by download, into any of the three careers you choose from the list.
2 - ALL debilitating medical issues will be eradicated, leaving you in the prime of health. You will retain your aspie characteristics.
3 - The nature of this planet means your lifespan will be considerably longer.

You may take any pets or belongings you wish. There is no internet/tv but radio is available, further, anyone going must become a productive member of their community. There is no government, taxes or money, everything is communal, so everything is produced for the community. The planet is fully stocked with wildlife, some of which may be hostile.

NTs are allowed only if sponsored by an Aspie.

You have seven days to make your choice.

I think the career list needs to be longer but of course it very hard to do as there too many. I would like to study animals by using my camera gear. I would't need many items with me. While the animals gets to know me, I would be able to study their language.

I know, the options list is limited. I think we can squeeze a penguin in :)

I chose to relocate and education. :)
There was no Art choice.
Although I am a skilled electrician, I could teach this skill.

Um, who would like to be my sponsor? Anyone? Hello?

Before anyone answers, I must say that I'll be bringing along Grumpy Cat and Waldo too. Waldo's a very picky eater, needs special litter, has to have everyone in bed by a certain time and when he doesn't get what he wants he has major temper tantrums (worse than a two yr old at the grocery store who wants something they aren't supposed to ever have). Then there's Grumpy Cat who is just plain grumpy and will give you the "evil eye" for hours. And I should throw into the mix that I'm pretty high maintenance - I need my fix of Amazon and Qvc daily, of course. I must have times set aside for exercise and knitting, I don't like housework of any kind, I have no set sleep schedule (I'm not completely sure if I still drool when I sleep) and I need at least a king size bed - just for me and Mr Sock Monkey as I must get so many hours of beauty rest since sleep is my #1 hobby. Oh, and I tend to eat a lot of foods that aggravate my IBS (you may want to keep plenty of room fresheners handy) and I'll need my own bathroom, too, that'll be available and "open for business" around the clock. I believe there's probably just a few other things that I forgot to list here, but I don't think they're anything that an Aspie couldn't live with. Oh, wait, I'll need to bring my radio (since that's the only form of entertainment) and I always have to have it on 24 hrs a day tuned into talk radio news sources.

So, who wants me?

That's a relief! But, I still need a nice Aspie to sponsor me. And I'll need an Aspie translator who can be with me at all times (except while sleeping and when nature calls, of course) cause I don't want any unfortunate miscommunications happening. I'd also like an Aspie teacher to instruct me on how to act more "Aspie" so I'll fit in and make friends. An Aspie teacher who is extroverted would be great as I have to get in my daily socializing. I guess I could do my daily socializing with a quiet Aspie who knows how to nod every now and then while saying "uh huh". I'll even let them wear earplugs and they won't have to make eye contact of any kind! What do you think? Can I go?

I'm in! I've always enjoyed helping people so I think the hospitality would be good for me. I've perfected the art of customer service with my mimicking skills, it's just all other kind of social interaction that I suck at, lol. I can also knit/crochet any garments/blankets for cold weather. I could do repetitive tasks all day long and LOVE it, so i'm all for the manufacturing! Then I wanted to be a teacher when I was young but was deterred when I realized how much I had to deal with parents... but if it's all Aspies I'm down with that! Then I guess I wouldn't really have to nominate my hubby because he's an Aspie too, but he's the best damn mechanic you could ever ask for and he holds value on his own. I can't imagine being anywhere without him. :tonguewink:

This is starting to look like a pretty well-rounded society. We should totally make an actual Aspie utopia in northern California somewhere.... or maybe Colorado or Washington instead... lol!
