Computers have games.

Some games are in Japanese.

Japanese games are awesome.

Behold the MSX, one of the most awesome japanese gaming computers to grace the 1980's onward. Now i'm a 90's kod and i grew up with the SNES and NES, but when i discovered the MSX, i had a whole new appreciation for japan.

Most of its games are in Japanese but are really good quality stuff. Some of the better games:

Penguin Adventure: In a civilization of arctic penguins, the princess is sick with a deadly illness, and Pentarou, who is in love with her, wants to save her. Only a Golden Apple can purge her sickness. Run, Pentarou! (Note: if you want to get the real ending, DO NOT PAUSE THE GAME AT ALL!)

The Maze Of Galious: Knightmare 2 : Aphrodite and Popolon must brave a huge castle in order to (I forgot the rest of the story.)

The Treasure of Usas: Wit and Cles are on an adventure to enter a temple's eight dungeons to retrieve an ancient treasure. The catch? They must use nothing but their own emotions as weapons. Yes, I'm serious, you attack not with a sword or magic spells (at least not the beginning), but your mood.

Happy: You can jump higher and move faster.

Sad: You move slower and shoot balls of water but you can move heavy objects.

Angry: You'll shoot small waves of fire and take less damage (if i remember right?)

Scared: Your shots fly until they hit something, but they only do half damage. Also, taking damage causes you to move randomly for a second (if i remember right)

There are lots of others but these are my favorites along with Xanadu and Vampire Killer.

Is the Knightmare game anything to do with the old British TV show of the same name?

These all sound like games that I would like. What are the graphics like?

The graphics aren't going to blow your mind, you'll want the MSX 2 for that. But they're enough to let you know that the character you're playing looks like a knight swinging a sword at bats if you get what i'm saying.
