The rythm of a day

I went for my usual Saturday afternoon walk, and had a rather slow photographic start to it... Spotted a group of people that I felt had great balance and composition and just looked interesting, but was turned down by two people in the group, so no photo...

I always say that I try to respect people in my street photography, but was rather upset as I walked away mainly because it felt like a rather crappy start to my day, like when one negative will become more negative things (which is a wrong assumption), and I do realize that many of you might have said the same thing

Then I went somewhere to grab a coffee and sit down, and simply to collect my thoughts

Later on in my random wanderings I had several other positive encounters and stranger portraits, which more than made up for that first encounter...

I'm slowly trying to learn that in life there is always something else "around the corner" if an opportunity doesn't quite work out, but I still struggle with getting there...

I think that's a beautiful outlook. I'm trying to work on thinking that way as well, especially when things don't work out. Because when things do work out, I realize "wow, I'm so glad it worked out this way, instead of the way it could've gone."

Like thinking about this. Life always seems a series of doors. Some open, and some stayed shut. Some open just for 30 seconds, and you don't know if you wish to venture which brings me to think about coincidences in life, the fluidity of life in general.

I took a job more then 2 years ago. Bought a place, the job fell thru eventually as jobs do. But the place turned out to be important due to rising apartment rents after pandemic. Just a series of events. Snapshots of life, some photos did develop and we have them in our life gallery.

Maybe they didn't want you to capture a part of their soul.

I do understand that... Just a frustration that that part was rather "dry" for material... I do always strive to respect people... But I still have a frustration over what I think looked like a great moment, only to be denied... And I shouldn't let that get to me, but it does sometimes...

It's a funny thing. You know, Paparazzi take photos of people all the time without their permission.
