thinking about dual booting linux and windows again

hey all, i have been thinking about merging back over to linux full time. i have 6 month's experience in ubuntu (debian). the worry i have, is gaming. easy anti cheat enabled games, do not seem to be running on linux. (battleye) i would like to use it as a full time OS. does anyone know of any WINE builds or ways, to say , play battlefield 2042 on linux?

Only half half on gaming, I didn't like front end of red hat, so decided I wanted to modify it and so ended up on lots time there. But had dual boot for my java, I had used edit to write my jscripts and set nice black background with green text but ended back on win as easier to work with swing.
Found difficulty with Linux compatability so ye,

This is close as I can get in elaborating on such a thing. Can's say whether it would be better to shift to another Linux Distribution that might make the latest version of Wine function better with any particular Windows program.

Doesn't look too good:

There's also an alternative to Wine called "Bottles" which may yield better results. I just have yet to try "Bottles". So far my minor attempts to install any Windows games using Wine have resulted in failure.

I'm still wondering if Microsoft has softened their position on dual-booting Linux with Windows 11. You can presently find methods of accomplishing it, but it's just another case of wondering whether Microsoft will enable some kind of programming to sabotage it when support for Windows 10 formally ends. A company overly concerned about even the most minor of its competitors.

As indicated above, approaching the issue with Steam and Proton may still be your best bet.
