Today's Chores and Tasks

I'm finding that having a routine, and staying busy, in one way or another, is really good for when you live alone.

So, just curious:

Which chores and tasks did you schedule for today?

Which chores or tasks did you complete?

Which chores or tasks do you still have to do?

Which chores will you have to reschedule for another day?

Sounds like you did great.

I have been looking at jobs, but knowing my anxiety will increase isn't worth the take home pay.

I was never afraid of hard work.

In fact, I can lay down right beside it and go to sleep :p

Never exactly been good at scheduling anything myself. I'm always impressed when I see people who can write these big lists down and then actually manage to do the things on the list.

Like, me trying to do it, well first of all I'd forget to read the list and/or lose it. But also it occurs to me that I'm really nearsighted. Like, I read "washed three loads of laundry" on your list there, but what I saw first was "wrestled three forbs (???) of looney".

Yes I should probably put my glasses on (okay I should also wake up all the way).

Which chores and tasks did you schedule for today?
Stent placed in my brachial artery (surgeon did this)
Recover from the anesthesia and tend to my health

Which chores or tasks did you complete?
Tend to my health.
Started my hot peppers fermenting.
Picked tomatillos from the garden to make Salsa Verde that I will can.

Which chores or tasks do you still have to do?
Change filters on the HVAC systems (forced air geothermal, ERV ventilation system)
Change the tank on the (steam) humidifier.

Which chores will you have to reschedule for another day?
Insulate and stucco the pizza oven I built.
Make an improved seat pad for my smallest kayak.
Install the communication unit on the generator and set it up in an isolated LAN.

My house is already spotless from yesterday and all the laundry is done and put away (also done yesterday.)

I have to feed the dogs at 6, take them out at 8, and then go to work (walking three clients’ dogs, and then I have two grooming clients [baths, blow dry, nail trim, and brushing], and then picking up my daycare dogs, who I will have until 6pm.)

Then I need to run some errands, and then go to bed, lol

I’m kind of proud of myself because I went from doing occasional part-time jobs to sustaining a full-time career.

My wife has declared today to be massive deep-cleaning day (that's my job around these parts, lol), so I get to spend hours sucking up dog hair (literally) from every crevice in the house, dusting the ceiling fans (that one has been a while), mopping, tending to everything in between indoors, and tending to our lawn and other outdoor stuff if need be.

Then it's the daily stuff - coding for a few hours to keep new knowledge fresh, exercising, the usual cooking / cleaning / dishes routine, etc. I'm trying to pay upfront for a lazy weekend, since I haven't had one of those in forever. I just want to make paintings all weekend while my wife games. That's pretty much bliss

You have every right to be proud of carving out a remunerative niche for yourself.

-job applications
- cleaned house
-helped to paint the walls in the studio
-fed the zoo
-made a phone call *which is a big deal to me because I find it difficult to do phone calls

-will probably craft now. Need to get some sewing done.

Watered the whole allotment with a watering can. It's looking good. Harvested Even More tomatoes. And herbs, beans and salad. Shopped for groceries. Tried to help book a covid vaccination, it's ongoing we'll sort it out... eventually. Watched the cricket semifinals of the hunrdreds, I'm making tomato jam tomorrow .
