Is anyone here familiar with such treatment known as "TMS" ?
Oddly enough I discovered it watching a recent episode of a medical drama ("Chicago Med") where one of their rather unpopular doctors is diagnosed with ASD. When approached by one of the psychiatrists on their staff, he agrees to this techno-therapy I've never heard of.
In the show, it improves his clarity of understanding some things (i.e. sarcasm) very quickly, though for how long is anyone's guess.
Clearly the theory is real...but if this was a really a successful "cutting-edge" neurological procedure I'd think we would have heard more of it. Or is the reality of this technology much less than what a fictional drama portrays as some kind of "miracle cure" ?
Interesting, but I'm apt to approach such a thing with skepticism.
