Two autistic teens sexually assaulted, Greensburg police say

A registered sex offender from Philadelphia is wanted by Greensburg police for allegedly sexually assaulting two teenage boys with autism.

Robert Alfred Petrill Jr., 37, stayed with a friend in Greensburg for a week in September, according to police.

He allegedly touched the genitals of the boys who lived there — age 13 and 15 — on several occasions, police said.

The boys did not tell their mother what had happened until recently, according to police.

Petrill is charged with two counts of indecent assault by forcible compulsion, two counts of indecent assault without consent, two counts of indecent assault of a person with a mental disability, two counts of indecent assault of a person younger than 16 and two counts of corruption of minors.

Petrill is a repeated sex offender, according to the state Megan's Law database. He has been convicted of indecent assault three times, in 2001, 2003 and 2006, with victims younger than 13 in two of those incidents.

Petrill was last known to be in Philadelphia. Anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to call Greensburg police at 724-834-3800.

disgusting,being a paedophile [or whatever its called in older minors] means you find children attractive however...thats where it stops,it doesnt mean you have to carry out your thoughts.
its illegal and immoral to be attracted to children and for a paedophile to carry their thoughts they are vile predatory criminals who do not care how their behavior will affect the children, at least paedophiles who are ashamed and do not act on their thoughts have empathy towards children and the decency to not ruin their lives.
the fact these boys were even more vulnerable with having autism makes it even more so unforgiveable.

GOD! Speaking of pedophiles. There was a sting operation in my hometown alone that just netted over 26 pedophiles. Some of these guys were doctors, lawyars, and other highly respected professionals. Some were even over 70 years old.

Sexual predators appear in ecery economic group and culture. They are very sneaky and manipulative. This makes it necessary to prepare children to tell caregivers and parents about any physical contact that makes them uncomfortable.

It can be uncomfortable for anyone, but especially Aspies and Auties, to talk about tabu subjects like unwanted touching. The extra effort has to be made anyway to protect children. This should be repeated often enough to stay in their minds as they grow older. For children on the Autism Spectrum, you may need to continue refreshers on handling unwanted touch, longer than with NT children. If you retain guardianship of an Autim Spectrum adult child, you may need the refreshers on dealing with predators, or wannabes, indefinitely.
