U-um, Howdy!

QueenBara

Furry Queen
Um, hello! The name's Kasa, but I usually go by "Queenie" online. I'm 22 years old and am legally disabled and on SSI. I have been officially diagnosed with Aspergers, Depression, Severe Anxiety, and Bipolar and it significantly impacts my life and is the main reason I am listed as "disabled" in the first place, though my scoliosis and chronic pain contribute as well.

Things are looking up though because I have started efforts to get a Service Dog! We adopted a rescue dog a couple weeks ago and he shows the right personality and aptitude for the job and we have already contacted a trainer and started a gofundme and all sorts of things to raise the money we need to owner train him to do the job, and we're hoping that his presence will help me start on the path to leading something a little closer to a normal and productive life.

I'm not sure how often I will frequent this site since I've mostly come here looking for help with my gofundme but I'm not sure about the forums stance for advertising that sort of thing... I mean I will probably check in sometimes when I am having issues cause, like, sometimes I do want help from people who might understand what's going on in my head a little better.

Welcome aboard :)

Glad to be here! I hope the community can help me out with the things I need help with, and that maybe I can be of help to others too.

Hello Queenie. Welcome to the forums. Good luck with your dog. I don't know about gofundmes, but mostly people don't post a lot of links to their own sites. But maybe a mod could weigh in on it. I've only been here about a month.

Hi Queenie, and good luck with the dog training. I'm not a moderator and I don't know the exact policies here, but I've noticed that quite a few people have links in their signature or in their profile to personal websites. People don't like being bombarded with a lot of self-advertisement, but I'm sure a link in your signature would be ok.

Thanks for all the welcomes and the permission to advertise! I'll be sure to be careful to only post an advertisement once outside of my signature-- since I believe I read that somewhere too! I won't be obnoxious about my efforts no matter how important to me they are. That's just a butty butt move, beh.

You're all very nice!

Hi & Welcome,
Dogs are great. They say having a dog adds 2 years to your life (statistically speaking). So I have 4 and have 8 extra years! Whats not to like? ;)

Haha, well, unfortunately having 4 dogs would be a little much for me! I'll settle for training this ONE dog to be a Service Dog and having three cats. That makes it four pets at least! And that's kiiiiiiiinda the same as 4 dogs?

(Okay, well, that and the trainer we are working with generally does not allow you to have other non-service dogs in the house when she trains a service dog with you since she is training him to do a job and he cannot be distracted or learn unwanted behaviors from the other dog.)

I've tried doing stuff in both media but I really don't enjoy it. I'm not patient enough for it, haha!! Sometimes I will do simple animated pictures where a character will wag their tail or smile or blink or cry on a loop, but that's about it. And that's usually enough to send me into a rage spiral and a bad mood for the rest of the day no matter how proud of the piece I am, o-oops...

I'm glad you like it tho!!
