Undiagnosed Aspie. I'm having a lot of trouble.

Deep in the ocean, there lies a wave for you.
Hello

I am an undiagnosed adult who has suffered/is suffering from OCD, anxiety, and clinical depression.

I have always felt like an alien, and been more sensitive than the average person. It's a blessing and a curse, but it's always been a bit more of a curse, at least in my teenage to adult life. I think I have built an sub-conscious mask throughout my whole life, albeit a thin one, as I have never been able to force myself into what's "normal" completely.

I hope to make friends here and to learn more about myself through learning about others.

Warmly
Me

Welcome! I was undiagnosed until 60, but with the goals of living independently, and having a relationship, at 25 I studied social communication like a special interest and was able to mature socially. But from then until 28, when I met my spouse I made mIstakes and learned from them.

I think your picture is great! Where did it come from?

Thank you. It is from "Pon and Zi" this kind of cheesy emo comic thing from my pre-teen days :p

Edit: I say "cheesy" with love. I'm totally cheesy when it comes to loving someone. Lol.

My whole life I felt like I was walking around, never any place felt like home. When I went to my first in-person autistic meeting suddenly it felt like I knew where I was from and there was a place for me.

I'm fairly new here too! wow i can relate to so many things you said. you are not alone and i hope you find peace and look forward to giving any support i can offer. in my experiences, people seem to try to define my life by only the negative symptoms. do you find that you also have non-problematic symptoms that just confirm the possibility of autism. i've heard it said that "different doesn't always mean defective" and ADS has so much wonderful "differentness" involved

Good point, I should think more about the positives that come from some of my autistic traits. Nice to meet you.

I can relate to just about everything you said. People are great here, though. Welcome!
