in my opinion little changes can have a big impact on the long term. for example I try to go for a walk every day for 45 minutes or 1 hour and on the long term it helps me to hold my weight, is healthy and also healthy for my mind. and because I do it every day, it´s easy to do it every day again, because my mind formed a habit of it.
 
One of the core principles of changing any habit or mindset is to start small. And this is the biggest step one can build in moving forward. There is a reason people suggest it...because it works.

I think things like "keeping your appartment clean and proper, keep your paperwork proper, having regular sleep pattern, showering every day, personal hygiene" and similiar things are very important and part of the big picture.

I think fears and desperation trys to fill every space you let them, so don´t let them any space and keep things busy to suffocate them.

Home space and routines certainly play a role in stress levels and the flow of the day. Not gonna lie, I get an endorphine high walking into a tidy house when I get off work.

I know I don't have to face a mess because I work to keep things clean and organized. I get to enjoy my space knowing things are where they're supposed to be. That the effort I put in earlier is paying off in that moment.

Sleep is more problematic. Between my angina and my brain, I don't sleep much, but I'm also one of those weirdos who can function well on three hours or less.
