Yes, legally blind here. I am so very grateful for the degree of vision that I do have!

Without glasses my eyes are 20/400.

I need new glasses and I don't look forward to
the process of getting them. I will be hopeful
that they will be effective, but that is unlikely.

I am thinking about getting two pair: one for
walking and one to wear when I read/am at
the computer/work on things with my hands.

Currently I am not able to do anything of those
things wearing my glasses. I have to take
them off.

I'm 20/450 in the right eye, and 20/525 in the left.

Ten years ago, my husband had LASIK surgery and has been so happy with the results. Five years later I finally got brave, but consults with two specialists taught me that my corneas are far too thin for the traditional, "easy," quick-healing procedure, and there'd be non-laser incisions, and an extra month of healing and pain. Well, *that's* not happening!
