We should have a "Share your art" section.

Many of us are interested in making different kinds of art. We should have a section on the website with a "Share your art" theme. People could come and share the visual art, poetry, prose, music, photography, and film they've made. I know I like to write poetry sometimes, and I would like seeing the poetry and art of others. We should have a section that celebrates that so that I can post my poetry, and other people can share and view the art that they have made.

Hi @NeoPhile I know we have a Media section already but your idea of a more dedicated space for creative artwork is quite a good one I think.

@NeoPhile There is already a thread where members can post their own art of any kind here, I'm sure your poetry would be welcome there. There are also threads for members to post their own photography and art they like. If you wanted a thread to post poetry and short stories you could do that too.

I personally think having the threads is more than enough, having an entire section on it would be overkill.

i agree really, and im not biased, i am an artist of sorts and a photographer.

It looks like that thread is mostly about drawings and visual art. We should have a section for poetry, one for prose, one for music, etc.

@NeoPhile There are already threads for people who make their own music and writing which welcomes members to post their own work. If these don't suit your needs, nobody can stop you making a new thread in the general/entertainment sections already on the forum. There's poetry threads where members can post their own right here and here. The thread I linked to in my first post was for any type of art and has poetry in it, just because one type of art dominates the thread doesn't mean the other types are no longer welcome.

Again, it's just my opinion but I don't think the forum needs a dedicated section when there are already multiple sections of the forum that allow the freedom to create threads based on those topics. Not only would it take up unnecessary memory on the forum's server, but it would also increase the chance of duplicate threads on the same topics, whereas just creating a thread for a certain topic in one of the sections available will keep it focused.
