Websites you used to go to

What websites did you go to often years ago that are either gone or have changed too much to be interesting anymore?

Sports Logo Arena- Chris Creamer's Sports Logo Page has more content, although I annoyed them to the extent that I got banned for years. Sports Logo Arena itself was a part of GeoCities, which Yahoo discontinued several years ago.

Internet Hockey Database- for their extensive amount of logos

There was this website which sought to have a picture of every car ever made (good luck). It eventually became a part of ebay motors.

Gerry Rowe's Oldies Jukebox- back way before the likes of Pandora and I Heart Music existed. It featured midi files using something called RealPlayer.

Marybeth's Memorable Melodies- the first streaming music website I ever discovered. It had a 50s/60s station and a 70s station. It closed down after awhile.

Cars.com- I anticipated looking at the latest concept cars each year.

conceptcarz.com- I liked looking through their database.

Launchcast- used to be Yahoo's streaming media service before it got snatched up by CBS

CBS Radio- until I discovered Pandora

Nickelodeon.com and Cartoonnetwork.com- as a kid. :)

Oink's Pink Palace. It was one of the biggest music torrent sites and the design was friendly. There been many replacement since then but it don't compare to Oink.

Fan sites like deviantART. They haven't changed, but I left after finding disturbing stuff on them. I now strongly prefer only canon material.
There was also a wonderful site full of scans of classic Disney comics by the great artists such as Carl Barks and Floyd Gottfredson, but it got pulled down. :(

Long long time ago there was a music website called GarageBand. ..it's been gone for about... I don't know... 13 years... they had interesting concept, but I guess, they didn't make much money or the concept didn't work... I don't remember.
The 1st website I ever registered at was fool.com at that time (back in late 90s) I had no idea what it was. Many years later I checked them out again, it's an investment website and doesn't seem to be a bad one. I guess if I start investing at any point of time, I'll go there more often for an advice :)

My first homepage was go.com. First email address was [email protected] (it wasn't valid so I could give it out without worrying about spam and malware). I got a real one when I switched to Yahoo, although it was compromised several times so I switched to Gmail after many years (my spam folder was like a landfill). First username was xlr8r (inspired by a license plate).

I used to always log onto a pro-eating disorder site (will not mention which) compulsively. Now I just have facebook

Conceptcarz.com was awesome, i also liked looking at them wrecked. Wrecked Exotic Cars - Pictures of Expensive Car Crashes and Wrecks

I used to have a napster account, i even have the mp3 player they sent me.
I did started during the dial up days. My internet was on 24/7. The only way a person can reach by phone is calling my pager. People don't know what pager is, I let you do some Google search. Anyhow, I was happy when high speed arrived in my area.

I was a big shot on neopets! Haha. I also loved home star runner and learned about my own body from gurl.com when it was more education articles/comics and less media girly crap.

I also got into making websites on geocities.
