Does anyone else here have any weighted plush? How much do they weigh? What do you think of your weighted plush? Does it help to relax you? If so, what does that relaxation feel like? Do you believe there's a reason behind this, aside from weighted therapy products supposedly being helpful for autistic individuals?
I have two weighted plush currently. One is a frog, one is a dinosaur. The dinosaur is 3 lbs, supposedly, but it feels more like 2 lbs. The frog is 3 lbs, and definitely feels 3 lbs. I personally love my weighted plush! I find them very comforting to stroke and hug. They do help relax me, especially the frog, which I believe is due to it's heavier-feeling weight. The relaxation feels cozy, loving, and comforting. It feels like I'm hugging a real animal, but better. I believe the reason for my relaxation is due to (yes, weighted things helping autistic individuals) the feeling of them being "real" to me. It gets a bit complicated, I suppose.
