Weird items that you panic if lost, broken etc

For me, headphones. I have always used the old fashioned ear buds and then, in ear ones came out and no matter how much I try, they always fall out of my ears. And my traditional ones are far and few between and thus, when I do have them, I treasure them, but sadly, they do not last long and even an expensive pair, finally gave up ie one earbud, suddenly not working.

I have found a style that is great. Although they are in ear, they are different. But mine are not cordless.

A pen/pencil and paper aren't what I'd consider *weird*
but I much prefer having them with me at all times when
I am away from the house.

For that matter, I keep both by my bedside so when I
think of something/have an idea, I can write down.

Being without paper and pen makes me feel crippled.
It's not that I can't speak. What I want is to retain
ideas for later use.

My socks. Not if lost, but when they’re not matched & I can’t find a match (Not just color but texture, ribbing, length, quality of wear, and so in—a matched pair of socks) it just throws my day off.

Today started off that way.

My soldering station! WSD 55 off the top of my head. It was given to me by an old work colleague. It's been a real trooper, it just keeps going. But one time a solder tip got somehow welded onto the heating element. I managed to get a new part for it and was up and running again in a few days. Also leaded solder, I'm running out and that stuff is just lovely to work with.

I also would hate to loose or damage my vintage computers. I made a dumb mistake one time about 5 years ago and connected the power supplies up to a machine incorrectly and it let the magic smoke out. It's incredibly rare and expensive and I still haven't recovered from the experience!

My guitars too. One is extremely special to me. If it broke or I lost it I would definitely never recover!

Right now I'm looking for my favorite scrunchy :D

Geez, look at my ranting about my car's navigation system or my widescreen television turning off and on by itself.

The jury is still out as to whether or not I have fixed my tv problem. Though it seems that there may be more than a dozen potential "fixes" for this particular issue. Making me feel at times that I'll never figure it out and be forced to buy a new tv set. An agonizing choice given 4K technology isn't too kind to my standard DVD collection.

Yeah, I am in a bit of a panic. These things matter to me whether they are considered weird or not! At this stage of my life I'm just trying to hang onto and cherish what I already have. Life ain't making it easy lately.

I have a baby blanket that I absolutely will freak out over losing if I ever misplace it. I'm very attached to it and it's completely irreplaceable, plus I require it to be able to actually sleep properly. One of my worst fears is permanently losing it or someone throwing it away because it's really ratty. I'd probably never talk to someone again if they did that.

I need my comfy cold weather socks for nite. I get attached to my jacket that l can hide my body in. It's flattering yet l feel covered as an older lady. I wish l had a anonymous cloak when l went out. I seem to attract attention for some reason.
