Well, my problems have been solved. I just need to re-build my life, and I need help.

After losing my two closest friends, I decided to take refuge in other pastimes. However, I haven't a clue where to begin. There's livejournal, deviantart, tumblr, twitter.....I'd like something with a more friendly community. And I'm thinking I might just look up more Asperger's forums to hang out on. I just need some help looking for places to re-build my life. Facebook is a definite no, and so is Myspace. But I don't have a lot of choices for where I can socialize. So much drama and so little places to avoid it.

Hey. I understand what you're talking about when you say refuge. I've tried to expand my online social hangouts too. I've joined a gaming clan and our first practice is tonight and I am really anxious about it. I am female and I'm just about positive this will make me a severe minority, and I worry this will prevent me from fitting in. We will be doing voice chat so I can't fake much. AHHHHHH! If this works, though, I might recommend it. Gaming gives me something to care about when the rest of my life doesn't feel like it's worth caring for. I suppose it's only a temporary fix though. I need a real Purpose.

Once I knew someone who joined a site called Gaia where people created avatars and bought and sold virtual things; she made a wicked amount of virtual money there and found it to be quite effective at distraction from Life. Maybe something like that would be fun?
