What are you having for dinner tonight?

Since I work tonight, I'm having a "canned substance" because its quick and easy. I'm having Chef Boyardee (not literally, of course). I love his "Jumbo Spaghetti and Meatballs!"

Minestrone Tortellini and green garden salad with all the fixins! Yummy!

Yeah, me and the Chef are on a first-name basis for many a lunch. Now it's my turn for a pity party. ;)

The price is right, but I hate when I get into a rut when it comes to eating the same thing too often.

You eat up all your pizza Judge?

Yep..usually all four pieces for a big dinner.

Laugh at me if y'all must. I buy a Totino's personal sized pizza, (costs just a little more than the Chef) and add lots of Italian cheeses, green pepper, onions, black olives, pepperoni, cooked ham and occasionally ground beef. At that point it goes from being garbage to something pretty good.

Not the same as going to the pizzeria...but then it works in my budget so I can have it every week. Love Italian food....almost as much as Mexican.

Me too! I love both Mexican and Italian. This week I'm also going to make stew with V8 juice. Very tasty and low in fat - can't beat that! (I know, another rhyme.) I've been using my pressure cooker a lot lately. I made sure I bought more of the Chef for the weekend, though.

That's interesting....let me know how that turns out. V8? Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. With that tomato juice base ground beef would probably taste pretty good in it....

I've already made it several times and it's really good Judge. It's got potatoes, celery, corn, carrots, onions, stew seasoning and stew meat (don't tell anyone, but I almost forgot to get the stew meat today when I got the other ingredients - I must be getting old!) If you want the recipe, let me know and I'll PM it to you.

Stew meat and my reflux..probably not a good combination. NOW who's getting old?

You, Judge, that's who. (I'm just agreeing with you - something that Grumpy Cat would do.) (another rhyme)

I didn't think Grumpy Cat (Tardar Sauce) agreed with anyone...but than that's part of her charm. :D Ya gotta love that face!

Yeah, getting old isn't that "contest" you really want to win....:(

Today I'm going to chop up a heap of vegies into bite sized pieces and mix them in casserole dish. Then I will season a piece of chicken and seal it in the frypan. Then I will put the chicken on top of the vegies and roast it all for an hour while I'm at the gym.

I've done this a few times now, it is YUMMY!

I had a little bit of chicken soup, a couple of beers; and there's a half-finished fried turkey sandwich, a bit of takeout that my dad didn't want, that I might delve into in a little bit. I'm not feeling very fancy tonight.

Ground Beef and Vegetable Casserole
This is a very quick and nutritious dish. It has low fat beef, vegetables, tomato soup, onion and low fat cheese. Just add a side salad!

Oooooh, that looks good!!! Please share the recipe. I've actually improved my culinary skills, so I'm expanding my horizons beyond Stouffer's.

My Mama gave me the recipe. It's so easy even Waldo could make it - almost. (Hope you can read my handwriting - I tend to write like a doctor!)

For dinner I ate some sort of broccoli casserole, carrots(I LOVE carrots!!!), and cookie cake that was leftovers from my younger sister's b-day party yesterday
