What connection, if any, is there between cartooning and pedophilia?

I'm starting to notice a bit of a comorbidity in recent years in regards of cartoonists and pedophilia. The most notable instances of these are John Krisfaluci and Shmorky. There's also some other examples I could list but that would take forever. Anyways, why do you think this tends to happen? Is it all just a concidence?

I don't think that there is enough correlation to make such a case. When NBC had a TV show, To Catch a Predator, its pedophiles came from a large variety of backgrounds. Many of them lost their jobs over it.

I think that it is more correct to say that some pedos are animators, rather than many animators are pedos.

Perhaps cartoons are viewed as a child-like interest and so they are drawn to that. I wouldn't be surprised if there were a slightly higher incidence of them in that profession.

Went to school with several people both male and female who became cartoonists. And know several others who eventually worked in animation and likely still do. They all had the usual relationships, boyfriends, girlfriends of their own age.

One cartoonist in particular drew for children's books and animated short films. All her work was related to childlike figures and characters, she had a horrible childhood, and I think she attempted with her art to create a better one, more magical, even special.

So no, I think it is likely coincidental. Shmorky's allegations by someone have been disproved from what I understand.

They've only been disproved as far as the person making the claims lying about being underage during the time she was with Shmorky. Everything else is true as far as I know. I doubt the victim could make up hours and hours of fake RP logs.

You'll find more of a correlation between paedophilia and teachers, teaching assistants, scout-masters, care workers and other professions that work or volunteer to work with children, but it's still a miniscule proportion compared to those who have no such compulsions in those professions.

Inevitably, any field which is closely related to children is going to attract that kind of person, though the connection with cartooning would offer sparse actual contact. It may have the attraction of being admired and loved by kids for their work though.

I know this, because he always drew naked adult women and there were other evidence to show he was attracted to the female form; not the child's form and me and my siblings were just convenient for his sexual appetite. She "mother" even said she was glad he had sexual intimacies with us, the children, because it saved him going to her and thus, I came to realise that my asexualilty is inherited from her.

What a horrible thing for a mother say. My mom threw me under bus too. She blamed the behaviour on me instead of my father. When l finally confronted my father , he used the crazy card. My mom still thinks l lied about that. Back to the post.

I always like the Dr. Seuss books. They were so different and full of mad house creatures.
His last book called: You're Only Old Once , I found very funny on the process of ageing.
I can relate to all the things you go through with doctors and hospitals.

OP, I put coincidence as I think pedophiles can be any profession.
It seems to be a part of their mental make up and not what they do for a living.
