What stupid little things do you enjoy?

I made a small donation at a store today, and they gave me a a little balloon-shaped piece of paper to write my name on for their display wall. So I wrote a made-up name.

I just realized how much I like making up stupid names. Any time I create a new account somewhere, I make up a name, usually with a stupid little pun in it, like “Midas Well”, “Half-Baked Alaskan”, “Inca Hoots”, “Bakers Doesn’t”, etc.

It’s the dumbest little thing, but I thoroughly enjoy it. What stupid little things do you enjoy more than you should?

Have a garbage email account called spamme. Smile every time I see it. Have nick-names for my cats; pookie, peanut and mr. dirt. Sometimes I sing ditty's from commercials so old that no one has ever put them up on youtube.

I love doing that, too. Erm, with my dogs - not yours.

We have two dogs and we call them by all sorts of names. One has a face that resembles the luck dragon from Neverending Story and Shi Fu from Kung Fu Panda. So we sometimes call him "Master Shi Fu Von Falcor".

Our other dog is very old and doesn't get much clearance when he pees, so his belly gets a little crusty (gross, I know - he gets frequent baths), so I often call him "Sherman T. Pee-Belly."

Uh-oh!

A couple of user names I have thought up (but not used):
LoCommotion
NonEuroTypical

When I'm in a store and a song comes on that I like but haven't heard in absolutely ages. That makes my day :)

I enjoy singing Karaoke, if my carer had turned up this morning I'd be down Town now doing an audition for X Factor UK.

But I can't go now because the carer rang in sick so Dad came down, I wouldn't mind but they rang home and told Mum and Dad, but didn't leave a message on my house phone, it's not like they don't know my landline number, it's just the Manager of my carers has no communication skills, she doesn't respond to my emails and never answers the phone when I ring up, I despair honestly.

I advise you not to give out actual names of people in your personal life on a public forum such as this one - that could really land you in trouble. If that is her real name, I suggest you change it.

You are looking for work. I assume that your are using your actual namne here (correct me if I'm wrong). One thing that employers sometimes do is Google the names of potential employees to check them out - do you want them to find all your posts here, where you analyse and/or criticise companies, your carer mentioned by name, linked to your name? At least do this in the private section of the forum, which won't come up on a random Google search. This is something I think that you should think about.

Meh, I posted her first name, he is the Manager of my carers, I did not give out her phone number or email address.

I do not see the problem?

However I will edit the post just to shut YOU up.

@Progster's correct Mr Allen, one of the first things employers do is look you up online. In many countries (and this is an international site) it's illegal to state someone's name online, because everyone is so easy to find.

People have been fined in loss of privacy laws in some countries. I understand that you're upset, as a result of your carer calling in sick. And you've lost the opportunity for your audition. Don't take it out on people here, who mean well and are attempting to help.

The problem is that you give your name, and then her name was associated with your name in your post, so not exactly anonymous for anyone who knows you.

Astro Turf on the floor of an apartment balcony. A simple pleasure to me. :)

Something that would be pointless to do where I live presently. Too much exposure to desert winds and dust, snow and dive-bombing birds. :(

I edited my post after @Progster's post, I still don't see what the problem is?

@Rich Allen, I don’t think @Progster was offended or has a problem with what you post. I think she was just trying to make a helpful suggestion.

Posting personal information online is like leaving your car keys in your car - it doesn’t offend anyone, but it makes you vulnerable.

Edit: "She" not "he", because I needed an oral pedicure (sticking my foot in my mouth).

Yeah I see yours and his point, in fact a few hours ago I PM'd @Nitro to see if I could change my username on here to something a bit more anonymous, such as Mr Allen or even Xbox Man.

He's not got back to me.
