To be honest, not at all sure how to put the title, so just chose that.
I have been watching Korean dramas for close on 10 year's now ( wow and even more so, because I still cannot speak Korean lol). Anyway, it started out as something to remove loneliness but has become an obsession and as with all the previous ones I got into, I get so obsorbed, that nothing else can take it's place. Well, I am now at the point, that I get excited at the mere mention of the country!
Anyway, my husband announced just yesterday, after finding out that I would love to visit a Korean restaurant when we go away for a few days together and he went on the search and found one! So, he is treating me to a meal and he showed the pictures of what is on offer and ok, to be honest, I acted like a child. Clapping my hands in glee and proudly naming the dishes. Sadly, though, hubby said that he hopes I won't behave that way when in the restaurant as I will embarrass him! So, I have to keep a tight rein on my sheer joy with experiencing my obsession.
When a child, I was obsessed with America! But, never been there, which is rather frustating as my 3 siblings have been there and yet, they were never obsessed!
Then, as a teen to young adult, I was obsessed with the Victorian Era.
Then, I was obsessed with Taylor Swift.
Those were long term obsessions, so I guess they could be called: special interests.
Have had several short term obsessions ie running in and out of them.
One other theme is that once that long term obsession ends, I can never go back to it, which is such a shame.
