Wrote soundtrack instrumental for possible game...

First piece I have listened to. I had been afraid it would be too loud-metally which is style I don't enjoy. Not sure how I got that impression but I did. Anyway it was a bit loud-metally but also ok and fairly interesting. Thought if toned down or perhaps uncrowded a bit it might be easier on more ears. But that is just my take.

It has a cool industrial sound. l like iit. Thanks for sharing. The piano instrumental is smooth, and intertwined so skillfully with the other effects.

Thanks for the feedback. It was my intention to make it feel claustrophobic, but I will listen to it again in a few days to assess what you have said...I may end up changing my mind and take that advice. Cheers!

I think you did succeed in the Claustrophobic atmosphere. Please take my feedback with a grain of salt. It is my honest impression but I am not at all musically knowledgable.

Whoa, this is cool. Which drum VST are you using?

My only real words of critique would be that the main snare is a bit low, and I'd love to hear it a little louder! It's a bit more audible when the guitar drops out, but it seems like it's kind of sinking in competition with the guitars, pianos and stringed / pad sounds during the chorus.

Solid stuff, as usual, and I can always pick up on that unmistakable industrial sound. What all do you use on the virtual end?

Thank you.

Thanks for the pointing out the snare...I will have to correct that is it's getting covered in the mix.

I use Solemn Tones Loki Bass 2, Mjölnir Drums, the Odin 3 and Axure. I record live guitars using a Jackson 6 string tuned to drop C and a Schecter 8 string on top of the virtual ones to give a thicker tone. Amp sim II II II II is from Otto Audio made specially for low tuned guitars. I used Oblivion: Aggression Designer from Heavyocity for the industrial textures and stock Logic Pro instruments for the piano etc.

No worries. If you enjoy music, then your opinion matters. :)

I like it.
This is not the music I normally listen to, but it sounds like a soundtrack to some cyber-punk post apocalyptic game. When I closed my eyes, I imagined camera floating over the city, showing different falling apart parts, and those bright neon lights in fancy parts of the hive-city, and those slumps, where people buy drugs and stuff, and then those places, where people fight for their lives against ai robots invasion. Something like this (from the game "Ascent").

And at some moments I could see glimpses of how the world was before/after - mother nature reclaims what is hers.

Wow! Thank you for that. Cyber-punk feel was what I was trying to achieve. Thank you for your vision.
