So tonite l was able to fully articulate a complicated medical dilemma with his family. I was able to keep my emotional outlook on it neutral and stick to doing the best for them. Communication is the key to help us jump the hump in all aspects of our life with no judgements. Are you handling complicated situations where communication is important with family members?

Great job, I'm happy for you that it went well!

I struggle with expressing myself. I'm much better in writing. While talking, it's often like the thoughts are there in a bundle in my head but I struggle to get them out in an understandable way while explaining everything I want to say. It's not so bad to be super obvious to others, but I'm very aware of it. It's like I struggle to organize my thoughts. Often, I end up saying something vague to play over the fact that I can't seem to grasp what I actually want to say.

With family members, it depends on the person. Since a while ago, I try actively to be less filtered around my family. That can lead to rambling, searching for words, and overexplaining when it comes to things I am interested in, where before I might just have said nothing.
My family's bilingual so it's even harder if it's in the language I am less fluent in because I have to search for words more.

If I want to address an important matter, I often think it through before. I don't practise it or design scripts, as many seem to do, but I write down my thoughts and sort them through beforehand, because I won't be able to do it during the conversation.
