I recently joined this forum after getting a formal ASD diagnosis of my long suspected Asperger's. One reason I waited is I didn't want to feel like an imposter. One reason I joined was I was hoping to find a group of people with whom I would find it easier to communicate.
Alas, it appears that people are people. That shouldn't have surprised me, but it did, a little.
So I will probably avoid much of the discussion here for the same reasons I avoid it in general: the conflict created by people's agendas makes me very uncomfortable.
However, to provide an outlet for myself, I am starting a blog. No promises on how often I will post or what I will cover, but to provide a bit of structure to myself, the goal will be to keep the entries tightly focused on a single point.
