  • I finally got off my backside and started doing stuff. I'm resealing my windows with sponge rubber tape. Even when they were "shut tight" if a breeze blew then the curtains and blinds would waft back and forth. I should save a bit of money on power this winter.

Did you pass your inspection last week?

Of course. It's a tiny little unit, you can do a thorough clean in just a few hours. It's funny how I feel more motivated now that I've got weed again, it does the exact opposite to most people.

I was like you - hugely motivating to me.
I bought some weed. I'm still waiting for the process of getting a prescription to go through but in the meantime I bought some weed again. I have my hyperfocus back. I have my interest in life back. And I have good fulfilling dreamless sleep back.

I normally let myself dry out every few years anyway, 6 or 8 weeks without, that never hurts anyone. Also your body builds up a tolerance over time and the weed doesn't do anything any more. Back on the weed again for the first time in 6 weeks and for the first time in about a year I completed a war game I started. And I want to get outside and do stuff.

You're a wargamer?! Oh man you have no idea how hard it is to find opponents nowadays :) I mostly use generic systems, though.

I never play online though, too many trolls deliberately upsetting me. I loved it back when Age of Empires was the latest game out, instead of connecting to the net I used to direct connect to my mates through the phone line. A wonderful era that I wish still existed.
My body knows how to look after itself. Yesterday afternoon I was really hungry and ate a ridiculous amount of food. Immediately afterwards I was so exhausted I went to bed. An hour later I woke up and was really thirsty, more than a litre of water to settle the thirst.
Feeling burnt out and flat today. Done in by going to a crowded shopping centre during school holidays.
Late in the afternoon I checked my mail, not something I do very often. Discovered a letter from the landlord, routine yearly inspection tomorrow. Oops, maybe I should check my mail more often.
I finally got off my backside and started making enquiries about getting a prescription for cannabis. This turned out to be surprisingly difficult because of one of my disabilities.

    I don’t use phones.

I have finally found a clinic not too far away from me and I’m hoping that they do in person consultations, most clinics only do telehealth consultations which are inaccessible to me. I have emailed them and hopefully I’ll get a pleasant reply.

I got a reply from the clinic I emailed, they only do in person consultations. Yay. I need a referral from a GP first, don't understand why, but I'm booked in with a GP for Wednesday. It'll be nice to be smoking dope legally for a change.
I'm still loving the electric bike. Normally riding a bike on a windy day isn't much fun but headwinds no longer bother me.
Cities do have their good points. Hot Chicken Parmigiana and chips delivered to my door while I play on the forums. It's a tough life but someone has to live it. :)

Sounds great! I also had food delivered tonight while I was talking to all of you on here. I often do when I'm too tired to cook. I got Indian butter chicken.
I live kind of a distance from the nearest city but we still have some great restaurants out here.

I think I'd struggle to live in a city. Well, maybe if I lived on a top floor and got breath-taking views. Mind you - I'd then worry all the time about flats on lower floors catching fire. Maybe if I could own a parachute and got into base jumping. Then all would be well.

I have a small ground level unit, no upstairs, in a nice neighbourhood. And once you take all the subsidies in to account I'm paying $50 a week rent. I'd love to live somewhere more remote but this just makes more sense, especially now I'm getting older.
I need to figure out how to reorganise my lounge room so I can use both computers at once. That would make life a lot easier.

I tried a few wireless jobbies but they annoyed me, batteries, interference with other devices, etc. And there's only one keyboard that I really like, the only Microsoft product that I like too, the Wired 600 keyboard. Very nice to type with if you do a lot of typing.

I never had a problem with interference but some did play up. One keyboard I have came with Mum's PC. The mouse is a really nice ergonomic shape but the keyboard is utterly awful! My main keyboard was bought when I had a thing for backlit keyboards. One of the books written on this is 530 pages.

I wear keyboards out. The longest I ever had one last was 18 months so I always keep a couple of spares.
I'm too hot, yet the temperature is only 16 degrees, cold for where I live. I don't have a fever. I'm hoping my metabolism has sped up a bit, that would be nice, my body has plenty of fat to burn off at the moment.
What a beautiful day. Clear blue sky, warm sunshine, we might even get up to 30 degrees. It's not exactly summer but it's as close as we're going to get for a few more weeks. I'm going to buy a few beers and enjoy it.
I'm loving the electric bike now the weather has warmed up a little. Riding is a great way to get around if you don't have to work too hard at it.

I know I've mentioned this before but I can't ride a bike because it dislocates my hips! Same with using certain gym equipment... so no bikes and no gym :(
I just slept for 15 hours. I don't know why but I figure my body must have needed it.
