I'm alone with my tiny dog all week and I can't play our usual games cause I hurt my foot and can't run, anyone know how to entertain him so he doesn't get super bored? Chihuahua-min pin mix, 7 lbs, 11 years

What about teaching him a new command? It takes time and they love the attention and benefit from mental stimulation.

I agree with both of these suggestions, and I would also recommend looking up Outward Hound puzzle games.

My minpin chihuahua's favorite activity is sitting on the couch, and watching TV while being pet, lol. Probably not the healthiest suggestion, but it's always there!
i wish there were people who wanted to be friends with me who weren't in such pain
cause it's hard to really like someone and know they're getting hurt and screwed over
    its really really hard
I hate hanging out with dudebros cause I can NEVER tell what they're feeling.

Ugh, same. Fortunately I have very few friends who fit that description anymore, now most of my friends are women, and gay men.
"Dudebros" don't show much emotion at all tbh unless it's about sports.
apparently the most opinionated, "someone is wrong on the internet" guy i know works retail, did NOT think he could hold that down
I can't tell if when I'm 50 I'm gonna have a white picket fence or if I'm gonna be the crazy old hermit who hasn't shaved in years and booby-traps his door.

Maybe a booby-trapped white picket fence?

Maybe just be you. Don't try to mask and fit in. Shave a demonic sign on your head, and put a lot of demonic things around, that might be enough to keep people away. Lol

I'm 55, and went the "wild beard" route. Though I do trim when it starts to itch :) And my door is booby-trapped by my very gentle, but very large and loud, dog.
I wish I was like some of you who dont need physical contact that much, I wonder how to be more like you cause right now it's really painful...

Also, I think a part of my resistance to touch comes from a very uncomfortable childhood with mixed signals from mom. Do not recommend.

Growing up, I disliked physical contact. That ended after my first actual relationship with a woman I was dating.

I love to hug but only if it's allowed. I also love holding hands but l only do it with one person.
Apparently the first person ever diagnosed with autism was still alive until 4 days ago... wow.

Yeah I was reading about him passing away.
Donald Gray Triplett lived a long time and had a very interesting life

Check in General Autism Discussion; there is a thread posted by me on the death of Mr. Triplett.
you like Homestar Runner? I love HSR!

listen, don't feel bad about believing everything you hear!
I personally have to deal with intrusive thoughts for 13 years now, and It might not go away, ever!
but you can either be like the guys on Tiger King, or someone with a wild imagination.... like Amy Lee,
Tim Burton .........those kind of guys? lol, I know too emo.

    what's your special interest?
    mine's animation.
Just being here I feel depressed like back when I used this regularly, even when I haven't seen any posts yet. Hmm...
Sometimes I feel like my family's the only functioning one in America, seems like everyone I know's at least uncomfortable around their parents
If you're male they see you as a monster, if you're anything else they see you as prey. Two horrible choices. I want out.

Speaking as a man my primary prey is anything in the fridge, cookie jar or left unattended where I can get away with eating it.
r/autism's teens are fun to watch sometimes. They've already declared both Princess Diana and Liz Truss autistic. I am awaiting Britain's autism revolution with bated breath.
Accepting the fact that I don't have as much energy as other people and that's okay. I think I'm proactive about improving my life and growing as a person. The fact my 100% is other people's 60-70% doesn't change that.
I finally realized I'm so desperate for other people because I need someone to tell me it's okay to be myself before I can relax. I forgot how to do it on my own. Glad I know they're related now cause "lookin' for love in too many faces" has a new meaning when you're bi...

That's amazing! Figuring out something like this is a major step towards a better, more peaceful life. I'm really happy for you.
Do you think you'll be able to relax now? Or do you still look for other peoples' company or approval?

It'll take time but I got a therapist last week and she's sending me worksheets so now we can get two birds with one stone.
Me reading comments/social media all the time to feel connected to people is like those Chinese emperors who drank mercury to be immortal.

This is the only place that's been even kinda healthy for me.

I know I shouldn't read YouTube comments because they just make me hate everyone, but it's hard to avoid reading them. I know what you mean. It's morbid curiosity, plus the need to feel connected.
At times I have felt like this forum has had toxic moments too but I feel cared for here more than I have anywhere else.

I love finding that one YT video where all of the comments are positive and then I get to add one on top... and then the OP is like, "You just made my day! I spent 22 hours on this video!"

    Wholesome bromance
They're having a dance on the lawn outside my dorm, can't go but club music on real speakers is magical
You can care about people without sacrificing your entire being for them

People who've never heard of me want more from me than my own family and friends and it's clear nothing less would satisfy them so why bother

I can barely get up in the morning and yall think I'm capable of that right now

    Sorry I'm not a hero at 20
